About Us
Caring Critters, Inc. Is a non-profit, Houston-area organization. The group is comprised of volunteers and their pets participating in animal assisted therapy. Since 1988, our volunteers have visited with clients who, either permanently or temporarily, do not have the opportunity to interact with animals. We visit socially, therapeutically, educationally... or sometimes just for those in need of a little fur or feathered fun!
The purpose of Caring Critters' animal assisted therapy program is to enhance the daily living of clients by providing opportunities to interact with animals in a positive, nurturing environment. Our goal is to elevate and enhance animals' status in society, to promote the human/animal bond by providing a quality animal assisted therapy program, and to meet the needs of our volunteers.
