CARING CRITTERS ANIMAL ASSISTED THERAPY

Caring Critters is a non-profit, all volunteer, Houston area organization.

Our group is comprised of people and their animals participating in animal assisted therapy.

Caring Critters visits are made weekdays, evenings and weekends to hospitals, memory care facilities, assisted living facilities, schools and rehabilitation programs.

GET INVOLVED

WORKSHOPS

We conduct a half day orientation for all incoming volunteers. Volunteers will return at a scheduled time the following week for approximately one to two hours for temperament testing.

THERAPY ANIMALS

Over the years we have had a wide variety of therapy animals including dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, ferrets, chinchillas, pot-bellied pigs, birds, goats and miniature horses.

DONATIONS

Caring Critters, Inc. is an all-volunteer, non-profit, tax exempt, 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extend allowable by law and are greatly appreciated. These donations are used for the furtherance of Animal Assistant Therapy.

Since 1988, Caring Critters’ mission is to enhance the daily living of our clients by providing opportunities to interact with animals in a positive, nurturing environment.

OUR VOLUNTEERS

Our volunteers make scheduled visits to a variety of facilities in the greater Houston area. These include senior and memory care homes, hospitals, psychiatric and rehabilitation centers, classrooms for special needs children and other special outreach programs.
